Wrists, Massage Work, and the Long Game

I’m not a massage therapist, but I’ve been around people who have done it for years. The wrists and hands take the volume — gripping, pressure, sustained positions. Over time it can turn into the kind of ache that doesn’t fully go away.

Jim’s is one of the things I’ve seen used on those wrists. Thin layer before or after the work. It eases the surface pain so the hands can keep going, and the DMSO helps move things through the tissue instead of just sitting on top. Better local circulation supports the body’s own repair.

The people who last treat recovery like part of the job. Hands and wrists included.

I’m not a massage therapist.

But I’ve been around people who have done it for years. The ones who stay in it long enough start talking about their wrists and hands the same way other people talk about knees or shoulders. Repetitive gripping, pressure, sustained positions. Over time it can turn into the kind of ache that doesn’t fully go away — carpal tunnel territory for some, general tendon and joint fatigue for others.

That’s volume, just in a different shape.

Jim’s is one of the things I’ve seen used on those wrists. Thin layer before a long session or after the work is done. It eases the surface pain so the hands can keep working, and the DMSO helps move things through the tissue instead of just sitting on top. Better local circulation supports the body’s own repair process. It doesn’t erase years of use, but it can make the difference between finishing the day tight and finishing it functional.

The people who last in that work tend to treat recovery like part of the job. Hands and wrists included.
