Ed’s in Town. The Lounge Chair Won the First Round.

Ed’s in town.

Marine. Workout buddy. Digital nomad bouncing Bangkok to Tokyo. The kind of guy who treats a long-haul calendar like a gym schedule.

He fell asleep on the outdoor lounge.

Woke up in agony. Back locked. Not “stiff from the flight.” The kind of wrecked where the next five feet look like a negotiation.

I didn’t give a speech. I went and got Jim’s.

What actually happened

He could not casually stroll anywhere. That was the problem. Flight’s Wednesday. Clock’s ticking.

Jim’s on the back. CBD + DMSO. Fast absorption. Deeper than a cream that sits there looking expensive. THC-free. No menthol circus.

Then the only update that mattered:

He could move.

Restroom. Back to a comfortable seat in the house. Not a victory lap. Not “fixed.” Upright. Mobile. Inside.

That’s Day 1 of this visit. The plane is still the boss of the week.

Why this is the story

Because this is how the jar actually gets used.

Not a marble bathroom. A lounge chair that betrayed a Marine. A buddy who has to be on a plane Wednesday. You put the cream where it hurts and you wait to see if he can stand up and walk the hallway.

Ed still has work to do before that flight. Sleep. Easy movement. Another pass of Jim’s. Not heroics.

I’m not writing that Jim’s cleared a back injury for international travel. I’m writing that this morning the lounge chair won, Jim’s got put on, and Ed made it from the chair to the bathroom and back to a seat in the house.

For a guy who was stuck, that was the whole assignment.

Wednesday can panic later. Today he can move.
